Albert was educated at <a href=\"http:\/\/launcestonthen.co.uk\/index.php\/the-place\/education-around-launceston\/horwell-endowed-school\/\">Horwell Endowed School<\/a> under the headmastership of Richard Reed and then at <a href=\"http:\/\/launcestonthen.co.uk\/index.php\/the-place\/education-around-launceston\/launceston-college\/\">Dunheved College<\/a> under the headmastership of Benjamin Ralph. On leaving school, William joined his fathers Newspaper and Stationers business, becoming a well regarded journalist. On his fathers death in 1899, along with his brother Sydney, he took over the business. William \u00a0married Rhoda Sherston in 1896 at St. Columb, and a year later their daughter Winnifred was born.<br \/>\nIn 1924, the business partnership with his brother <a href=\"http:\/\/launcestonthen.co.uk\/index.php\/the-people\/john-brimmell\/sydney-dangar-brimmell\/\">Sydney<\/a> was dissolved and in 1931 the \u2018Launceston Weekly News\u2019 was taken over by the \u2018Cornish and Devon Post.\u2019 For the next few years he worked as a free-lance journalist. He was a well known Mason, filling the position of Worshipful Master of \u2018Lodge Dunheved\u2019 at one time. He was a conservative in politics and a Wesleyan.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4725\" src=\"http:\/\/launcestonthen.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Sydney-Dangar-Brimmell.jpg\" alt=\"sydney-dangar-brimmell\" width=\"600\" height=\"383\" srcset=\"https:\/\/launcestonthen.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Sydney-Dangar-Brimmell.jpg 600w, https:\/\/launcestonthen.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Sydney-Dangar-Brimmell-300x192.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>William died at his home \u2018Fernleigh\u2019 The Walk, Launceston, on June 11th, 1937 leaving a total of \u00a3456 18s. 4d. to his widowed wife Rhoda.
