Very in depth piece on John Couch Adams. I am a co founder of the recently formed Lanivet amateur astronomers and also together with the other two co founders we go into Lanivet Primary School and do an astronomy after school club once a week. Tomorrow we are covering Uranus and Neptune. The John Couch Adams page has been posted on our Facebook page. One request please? The article could do with a proof read as there are some spelling and grammatical mistakes in the piece.

I am a descendant of the Prockter Family. My great grandmother was Annie Prockter. I have some large portraits of her ancesters, I think they may be James Eckley Prockter and Richard Edgecombe Prockter. I do not know who the other s are but assume brothers of afore mentioned. If anyone has any information about this family, I would be most grateful to receive it. My great grandmothers brother was Mayor of Launceston.
