Now I have been given this gem of a photo, which although in very poor condition dates back to October 1884. Just legible written on the back are the names of the Nicolls children along with the description of where they were standing 'Willow Garden Cave.' I live just outside Lawhitton. There’s a plaque on the wall and having looked into it... John was a philanthropist and built many homes for his workers. Anyone else live in one of his homes ?

Roger came accross this the other day, Mr Bill Manning guard at Lanson .The connection is he happened to be the guard of the train that I fell under in August 1948 .
