Lakes of Launceston

.

Before 1983 the only large area of water in the Launceston was found on Bodmin Moor at Dozmary Pool which lies just East of Bolventor. In that year the St. Neot River was impounded near Lordswaste creating what is now known as Colliford Lake. This was followed in 1990 with the impounding of the River Wolf creating Roadford Lake East of Broadwoodwidger.
